I couldn't believe it, this was an amazing prize to win, but someone could have told me i had to put the parts together myself.

Becoming an ambassador was one thing, to ride hard, share moments of glory and having fun as a team is another, after the Tour of Flanders we all were euphoric and happy, WE DID IT!

Before some cyclo's or races my fellow ambassadors or even pro riders come to me for advice, how do I take on the Paterberg? Where do i have to conserve energy?... As allways I help as much as I can.

Because of the big response to my sollicitation for BMC ambassador, people have been asking if I really am a son of a fisherman, yes i am! But my mother isn't a badass, she actually is really sweet.

(my daughter is awesome)

In group or a stranger in need, i never pass by. If someone needs help then i do what i can, usually i can change a tire a bit faster than someone else because i am blessed with the gift of fast fingers and handy thinking - or is it the other way around?

My most difficult challenge in 2014 is without a doubt getting married in style, my wife-to-be doesn't know that I will probably wear BMC socks and a cap but who am i to spoil her surprise.

No bachelor party for me as we will do a bachelor ride. From Paris to Belgium, passing by all relatives, in total almost 500K, non stop night riding fun... siked!

Focus is everything.

I am a teamplayer, if people ask me to do head or chase down a group, then i'll do it, no questions asked, if the wind is heavy and cramps are nearby and everyone is tired, then i still do my job, that's BMC style!

enough drinking and eating is important

Discussing my ability to climb mountains with Phil and Thor, great guys, great moments...

Greatest team of all time...
